Construction Has Begun-Three New Homes for 2010

Construction has begun on three new homes on 20th Street and Sheridan in Port Townsend. After a delayed start, the homes are taking form. Thanks to the first group of Care-A-Vanners and dedicated local volunteers, we have been able to get the walls up in record time. if you have a moment, drive on by and see the great work going on.

On July 25, ten Care-a-Vanners will arrive in their RVs from out-of-state to help us build. The Care-A-Vanner Welcome Dinner is Sunday, July 25, St. Marys Star of the Sea Catholic Church 1335 Blaine Street, PT, 6PM. We’ll provide main dish and beverages. We ask attendees to bring a green salad, fruit salad or dessert. Please RSVP to habitat2@olympus.net  if you can come.
