Jamie Maciejewski, Executive Director
Jamie Maciejewski (pronounced Ma chee EFF ski) became
Executive Director in May, 2007, and brings a wealth of
experience in the not-for-profit sector. She served as ED of
Multnomah County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) in
Portland, OR, for ten years of rapid growth, eventually
supervising 17 paid staff and 300 volunteers serving
approximately 500 abused and neglected children annually.
Jamie also directed the Salvation Army Greenhouse, a program
serving homeless street youth in Portland, and held various
positions with Seattle’s New Horizons Ministries, including
Executive Director. New Horizons served homeless youth. She
holds a master’s degree in Clinical Child and Youth Work
from Western Oregon State College. Jamie is also a
volunteer, most recently with the Lutheran Church of the
Redeemer in Chimacum, as Minister of Education. And her
construction background includes a stint as the general
contractor of her family’s home in Nordland, WA.
Deb Wiese,Volunteer Coordinator
Beginning in Fall 2003, Deb served HFHEJC for two years as a VISTA
volunteer before being hired part-time in 2005 to coordinate volunteers. Her
experience includes reference work and volunteer coordination for Multnomah
County Library in Portland, reference work for Seattle Public Library, and
volunteer supervision and newsletter production for social service agencies in
Seattle and Madison, WI.
Vicki Lucas, Manager, Furniture and More Store
Vicki Lucas puts her strong business background to use as Furniture and More Store Manager. Her experience includes 15 years operating a Victorian hotel in the United Kingdom, several years in real estate in California, and 11 years as the owner, with husband Cyril, of a 150-seat fine-dining restaurant in Escondido, CA. Their commitment to open the restaurant helped revitalize the downtown area. Vicki's volunteer service included benefits for the Kidney Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and other non-profits. Vicki served HFHEJC for a year as a VISTA Volunteer, improving store resources, before being hired a manager.
